Interview with http://www.rapsoulution.com! Check it out!

Ronnie Run, what's good with you today and for those who have not hear of you yet, would you introduce yourself to our readers My name is Ronnie Run aka”Mr. Real Hip Hop and I am representin Winterville, North Carolina .
Before we get into more detail, you started out as a DJ, why did you abort this career choice? I enjoyed performing on stage instead of being behind the scene.Dont get me wrong, I love the DJs but I love spitting lyrics and expressing my feeling to the world.
What was it about “Rapper’s Delight” that made you decide that you wanted to become an MC and what keeps you attracted to the mic? I like the way the Sugar Hill Gang put hip hop on the map and it is ok to express your feeling.
So how would you describe your sound? My sound is retro underground with a new school twist, basically I am bring old school back with a twist of new school as well.
What's the current single you are pushing and talk to me some more about your video getting on BET “Uncut”. My current single that’s killing the airwaves right now is “I Remember” which is produced by LQ from the Karolina Kings (who has done work with Anthony Hamilton, Sunshine Anderson, and Salt and Pepa, etc.) I had a CD out called “Back 4 tha Third Time” and the lead single off that cd was “4 Tha Club”
And it started to really catch a real heavy buzz. So I got with my homeboy Jon RoRech and we shot the video and I submitted it to BET. Within a week later my phone was ringing and my homie Young Fresh told me to turn to BET, this was like 1oclock in the morning, so I did and I was like “YO! That’s my video.” It really felt good and honored to be seen on a level like that.
Drop your info on where supporters can hear your music. They can check my music out ay www.myspace.com/ronnierun252nc or you can google me up “Ronnie Run – Winterville, NC”
And what about production? Who is your producer and if you had one shot at working with a top producer, who would you choose and why? I don’t have a certain producer I work with but if I feel like they got some tracks I will work with them quite often. Like Knock Hard Beats, UndaDawg Sounds, Karolina Kingz, CatMan, Conrizzle, Benjamin Beats, Manifest, Ski Beats, and more. The one producer I would love to work with would probably be Dr. Dre. I have been a fan of Dre since NWA, the Chronic, and so on. Dr,Dre is soon creative with what he does and he keeps them banging ass beats!
Talk to me about some of your other future goals. My future goals is to stay focused, marry my girlfriend, and get my own label off the ground. I want to prove to myself and the world that real talent and hard work pays off.
What would you say to any label heads that may read this interview? What would your sales pitch be? I would say “I am bringing real hip hop like it suppose to be. I am a old-school head with a new school twist.”
What is the best piece of advice that someone in the industry has given you and is rap still important? It was Gello Jones (A&R for Now City Records Ski Beats label) He told me “to stay focused and shake dem haters off you. You will always have haters everywhere you go,” To me rap will always be important because it’s a form of expressing.
Which CD’s would we be likely to find in your car at any given time? Anything that’s hot: I will bump it! I am a big fan of Dre, Ice Cube, Ludacris, Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, and Jay-Z.
Shout-outs? First I want to give a shout out to God for making things happen. Prayer works you just got to have faith. My girlfriend Catherine Colardo (I love you baby),My Daughter Jocelyn, My mom Valley Cox and the whole Cox and Grimes Family, My click Benjamin Beats(Ben Harrell),Flawless, Young Fresh,(Lets git it!)the whole town of Winterville,NC (Tyson St,.RailRoad St,,NewTown,Maye Dr,Jones St Myrtle St.,Hillcrest Ave.) UndaDawg sounds(B.O.E. BIMI U know what time it is) My industry dudes and females : Dirty Den,SmallWorld,LQ- (Karolina Kingz),Manifest, Shelly B,Mica Swain, Lil Buna (R.I.P.),Big Hop,Hookz,Mic Savy and the whole NC and SC. All the DJ’s who have been spinning my tracks, all the local and national radio stations I got some more bangers on the way. Much love to all my fans that have been supporting me since day one!
